Happy New Year!
I wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year before we are all knee deep in fun, frivoility and fizz! Who am I kidding? I shall most probably be wrapped in my duvet by 11pm! We all at A Bit Woolly hope that 2020 is everything you wish for and mainly we hope that that is health and happiness for you and all your nearest and dearest. My resolutions are as always to stop smoking, stop drinking and loose half my body weight this year ... at least then I know I can achieve at least 2 out of 3 ... you guessed it, I don't smoke and I don't drink!! So there you are - tick!
This year I shall be playing with lots of lovely yarn and writing patterns and creating lovely woolly items. My favourite at the moment is Cashmirette Gold by Lane Mondial ... have you tried it yet? It's the closest thing to Baby Cashmerino you'll ever get and why wouldn't it be, spun in the same factory by the same company and knits to the same patterns even with extra yardage. So my replacement fears are over and I can continue making my favourite baby garments in a fabulous luxury yarn with no supply problems. Also I shall continue to work on the life and times of Nora Balls books, a series of three, documenting her trials and tribulations with life in general and the resulting knitting patterns that ensue! Each has been deveolped from an incident somewhere in the South West of England as she dares to venture out in public ... instead of killing someone, she comes home to knit! Watch out for Psychotic Knits coming out very shortly ...
With tat I'm orf to eat my body weight in Quality Street because 'they've got to be gone by the New Year!' See you on the other side x
